Cannot install -- unmet dependencies -Ubuntu 18.04 using step x step tutorial

Have you tried installing the dependencies first? `sudo apt install gazebo9-common` `sudo apt install gazebo9-plugin-base`

Yes. Can’t get gazebo-common wbecause it depends on gazebo-base then can’t get gazebo base because it depends on gazebo9. Installed aptitude for the added help in resolving dependencies. That seemed to help until it didn’t. I thought hat it might be my setup but had help from another who was able to replicate the problem on a different system.
