Using gazebo fails when executing roslaunch My environment is Ubuntu 16.04 Ros version: kinetic

But I am using a virtual machine instead of a normal computer.

Try typing killall gzserver in the terminal after closing Gazebo or stopping the simulation from the terminal. This should kill Gazebo and you should be able to run your simulation again.
