Gazebo and reality codes are they the same ?

Hi, i want to fly the ErleCopter drone and have some sensors on it , my Question is :will the code used in Gazebo are the codes that Ill used in ROS while doing the real flight and testing ?? So will just use the same codes to implement in reality ? I'm a beginner .

Yes, you should write your control code only once. That control code can be used either on a real robot or with simulation.

Gazebo attempts to mimic reality as close as possible. It's not 100% perfect, but for most situations it is close enough.
