gazebo change resolution

My screen got 4k resolution, but I want to run gazebo in full hd, because otherwise it runs quite laggy.

Is there a way to change the resolution in gazebo?

Just change the window size... I don't think you run it in full screen, do you? Your actual problem is rather graphic driver related.
