I installed gazebo first following the instruction as

curl -ssL http://get.gazebosim.org | sh

However, when I later tried to install ROS, I met the following error:

sudo apt-get install ros-kinetic-desktop-full

Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies: ros-kinetic-desktop-full : Depends: ros-kinetic-simulators but it is not going to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

How can I solve this problem? Should I uninstall gazebo and then install ROS first? And I also don't know how to uninstall gazebo when it's installed using curl.

Please help. Thanks in advance.

First completely remove gazebo simulator by

sudo apt-get remove '.*gazebo.*' '.*sdformat.*' '.*ignition-math.*' '.*ignition-msgs.*' '.*ignition-transport.*'

and then install using

sudo apt-get install ros-kinetic-desktop-full
