New Person Questions - Appreciate It
Hi,
I have a few pretty basic questions and appreciate any answers.
1) If I make a robot model in Gazebo 8, will it be consumable via the Model Database for all previous versions (e.g. Gazebo 7, 6, 5, 4)?
2) Same question as the above but for designing a World.
3) It appears simulating tank track vehicles is a difficult due to the fact that the numerous paddles need to be set into motion as individual joints. How feasible is it to simulate a tracked robot in Gazebo today?
I've read through Issue #863 and Martin's support for tracked vehicle simulations here. Does anyone have a clear idea regarding how feasible it would be to create a plugin for a tracked robot? Are we looking at simply using Martin's new API support code to develop the plugin or will there be sufficiently more work to be done?
