Tutorial when "Run the simulation and connect with your own executable" are we to run gzclient in the same terminal window or open another?

Just starting out... in this tutorial I am following the last segment entitled: Run the simulation and connect with your own executable currently it just remains at the origin as per the data.

I have found that everything works when the working directory i.e.( directory from which you run gazebo your_world.world on your world file) is the directory in which the .dylib, .so, .o files are located. Otherwise the box does nothing as opposed to failing as i expected.
