Dear all,

I'm trying to spec a PC to run Gazebo simulations but I don't have much experience. I would appreciate it if you could post your real-time factor along with your PC spec so I could get a better idea.

Many many thanks

Processor: Intel Core i7-4720HQ CPU @ 2.60 GHz 2.60 GHz
RAM: 16 GB
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M

Real-time factor depends on what you're simulating, physics settings, etc...

This setup can simulate some simple robots (<16 or so dynamic joints) at a real-time factor of 1.0

Performance-wise, the most important thing is the Processor (and RAM).

Graphics is just for rendering.

Note: Get a NVIDIA graphics card. Probably doesn't have to be crazy high-end, but in my experience (and others as well) Gazebo does not play nice with non-NVIDIA graphics cards!
