sample point cloud from world [closed]

Hi all, I'm trying to extract a point cloud from a Gazebo world. What is the simplest way to do that?

With CloudCompare I can do that with an .obj file. However, I couldn't find a way to convert a .world or .sdf file into a .obj file.
