Is there a way to create time-varying winds in Gazebo?

Im doing my thesis on drones and and approaches of using control the measure wind speeds, and will need to see how the model reacts to changes of direction and speeds.

RotorS seem to only be able to create static wind fields, is there another add-on or software that i could use for this?
