With ign-gazebo making progress what is the recommended migration path & timing?

I spent the weekend trying to upgrade from gazebo-9 to gazebo-11 and toward the end I realized there's another gazebo out there in active development ign-gazebo.

It made me question the work I was putting into migrating to gazebo-11

Is ign-gazebo the future? Should we start trying to use it now? Is there a roadmap to feature parity?

Is ign-gazebo the future?

Yes! There won't be other major Gazebo-classic releases as explained on its project status.

Should we start trying to use it now?

You definitely can. Whether that's the preferred route will depend on your specific use case.

Is there a roadmap to feature parity?
