I'm trying to put a background from google maps to my gazebo simulation. I'm using gazebo ver 9.

I followed this tutorial staticmapplugin literally, I created an API key, and put there.

The plugin works, it download the tile, but when gazebo is started (without error in console, I used --verbose) I can only see a placeholder image with yellow and black band.

I've double checked the API key. I also tried to change the location, the size and the zoom option. I have no more ideas to try.. :)
