Laser not detecting edge of sidewalk
I am in need of a city simulation which I can use in a robotics project. I found SmallCity and successfully opened the simulation in Gazebo.
The SmallCity simulation looks great but Im having problems detecting street sidewalks as shown in the image below:
The laser on the right-side of my robot is lower than the one on the right. The idea being to detect the edge of the sidewalk. But as shown in the image above, the laser goes through the sidewalk and the laser does not detect it but detects the trees after it.
Can anyone tell me how I might make the sidewalks detectable by my lasers ?
