How to add mass and inertia property which is not link?

Hello, I am modeling a drone and for accurate modeling I want to add mass and inertia property which is not a link For example, Battery is just a mass chunk which is shipped in battery mount, so I think modeling as a link is improper. Because If I modeling it as a link, it should be modeled as a connected thing to base link but battery is not connected but separated. If it is point mass, modeling as a link is actually impossible

Is there any way to modeling mass (or point mass) not using link?

Thank you

I agree with the answer given by Peter Mitrano. I don't understand why are you saying "battery is not connected but separated".

You should be using a link, I can't quite understand what the problem is modeling the battery as a link is. There's no other way to specify mass/inertia.
