How to set 180 degree hfov in camera sensor --- Ignition Fortress

I have a camera sensor set up with hfov set to 130 degrees as shown in the attached text file (130_deg_hfov.sdf C:\fakepath\130_deg_hfov.sdf). Images captured from the camera look normal (view 130_deg_hfov.jpg attached image description).

However, if I increase the hfov to 180 degrees (as shown in 180_deg_hfov.sdf C:\fakepath\180_deg_hfov.sdf), then I get distorted images like in 180_deg_hfov.jpg image description.

Am I doing something wrong?
