Hi,

I saw some posts like: http://answers.ros.org/question/81636/hydro-pr2-gazebo/ and also at tutorial: http://wiki.ros.org/pr2_simulator/Tutorials it is written that PR2 is not supported in gazebo for Hydro.

Has there been any update on this? Is it supported on Indigo?

P.S. I am coming to ROS after long time (more than a year), and want to simulate PR2 in a simulated home environment. Just wanted to know should I put my effort on Hydro or Indigo? Or something earlier.

Hi it seems like there are new packages for hydro!

the debian package is called

ros-hydro-pr2-gazebo

you can start the pr2 with the command:

roslaunch pr2_gazebo pr2_empty_world.launch

but I have just found it right now and tested it, this packages seems to use the normal 1.9.5 version of gazebo...

Hi, I am not able to install ros-hydro-pr2-gazebo (in Hydro) "The following packages have unmet dependencies: ros-hydro-pr2-gazebo : Depends: gazebo but it is not going to be installed Depends: ros-hydro-pr2-gazebo-plugins but it is not going to be installed" is the error I get.

This error seems to appear when you mix up the packages from gazebo and ros package list. Mayb you should just try to compile it from source...https://github.com/PR2/pr2_simulator
