I have a nvidia quadro fx 550 graphic card, Intel Xeon CPU 3.00Ghz processor and Dell 0DT031 Motherboard. It seems that I can not find a good driver for the graphic card and is not compatible with Gazebo. I have posted my problem here:

I am considering whether should I replace a graphic card and I find a tested graphic cards list here: However, it was posted for a long time. I am wondering whether there is a updated list for tested graphic cards?

Thanks for your help.

Apologies for the delay. The testing script is under development, but I don't have an exact timeline for you.

I have a feeling that the results from the test script will indicate that the driver and/or card cannot do the type of offscreen rendering required by gazebo. At this point, we'd have to dig into Gazebo to see if we could use different parameters. As you can imagine, the process will be lengthy.

While this effort would be worthwhile to Gazebo, it's probably not very useful to you. I hate to recommend getting a new graphics card, but it seems like the easiest and fastest solution to this problem.

Thanks @nkoenig. Could you please recommend several graphic cards which have already been tested by Gazebo users?

Pretty much and nvidia geforce card will work well. I've use a GTX 550 and up with no problems.

Although NVIDIA cards are the ones that work nicely with Gazebo, from the latest versions (gazebo4 and gazebo5) I'm using my laptop integrated Intel HD4000 to make my usual testing and development on Gazebo with really good results. No guarantee yet, but I would recommend to give it a try if you have a similar graphic card.

PR2 is able to run in a clean world at 0.80 RTF on my laptop using Intel HD4000.
