Increase GPU performance

Hello, everybody.

I'm pretty new to the Gazebo simulator and I'd like to know if there is any way to increase GPU performance by freeing the microprocessor from much of the computation. Of the 2 GB of RAM memory that the GPU has, it uses approximately 200 Mb.

I use a PC with Nvidia drivers installed and updated on Ubuntu 16.04.
