Add Gazebo Sensor model which publishes sick_safetyscanners/ExtendedLaserScanMsg


I have a question regarding the sick_safetyscanners package. I am working with the sick_safetyscanners package on my robot and now I would like to simulate the robot with all features in gazebo. The robot actually uses a sick sensor and publishes a sick_safetyscanner/ExtendedLaserScanMsg. Is it somehow possible to enable this message in a gazebo simulation as well? I have just found the standard laserscanner tutorial, where the sensor publishes a sensor_msgs/LaserScan message.
