2015-04-27 15:41:45 -0500 asked a question Roslaunch to Spawn URDF Robots

BH

I'm working on the 'Using roslaunch to start Gazebo, world files and URDF models' Tutorial and stuck at the '"ROS Service Call" Robot Spawn Method' section. The command of " rosrun gazeboros spawnmodel -file rospack find MYROBOT_description/urdf/MYROBOT.urdf -urdf -x 0 -y 0 -z 1 -model MYROBOT " results with the following error:

[rospack] Error: package 'MYROBOTdescription' not found spawnmodel script started Unable to register with master node [http://localhost:11311]: master may not be running yet. Will keep trying.

Awaiting for any advice, Haz88

Hi, I'm using Ubuntu as my operating system. I have installed gazebo via the tutorial in the gazebosim web site(http://gazebosim.org/tutorials?tut=rosinstalling&cat=connectros). By the way, in the mean time, I have managed to operate the gazebo simulator as standalone, still without succeeding to launch the empty world or any other world launch file. In addition I can't move a turtlebot robot I placed with the teleop keyboard( typing roslaunch turtlebotteleop keyboardteleop.launch).

2015-04-25 16:17:10 -0500 commented question Gazebo 2.2 Can't open /usr/share/gazebo//setup.sh

Hi, My linux distribution is Ubuntu 14.04(Trusty). I'm using the repo that is mentioned in the Indigo installation tutorial at the Ros website (http://wiki.ros.org/indigo/Installation/Ubuntu) , hope that answers your second question.

Now I get this comment: dpkg -l gazebo | grep setup.sh.: command not found

I am a newbie concerning gazebo and linux so pardon me for my next question. Where can I find the usr/share/gazebo directory? The only directory I found that contains a setup.sh file is in this path: /opt/ros/indigo. By the way I'm using gazebo 2.2.

2015-04-24 09:01:18 -0500 asked a question Gazebo 2.2 Can't open /usr/share/gazebo//setup.sh

BH

I installed the gazebo 2.2 packages and while typing the roslaunch turtlebot_gazebo turtlebot_world.launch command I continue to get this comment:

Can't open /usr/share/gazebo//setup.sh

By the way, I'm using this command in order to set the ROS environment variables: source /opt/ros/indigo/setup.bash.

What should I do in order to get rid of this problem?

BH

Hello, I have encountered a problem starting the gazebo simulator. I'm using the indigo ros distribution and gazebo 2.2.I'm following the installation tutorial and when I reach the stand-alone Gazebo works section, I try to type the gazebo command and I receive the following error:

Error [RTShaderSystem.cc:409] Unable to find shader lib. Shader generating will fail.Error [Server.cc:285] Could not open file[worlds/empty.world]

What could cause this?
