2013-02-03 01:33:03 -0500 asked a question Vehicle plugin without control

Hi

I have designed simple model of car with ackermann steering. Also I have designed ackermann plugin to control the model. However, the model and plugin don't work in the new version Gazebo (1.3). I tried to find a similar model of car for the newest version Gazebo. I have found model of car what I was looking for. However, I was surprised that vehicle plugin for this car model don't contain subscriber of control topic. In fact, there is subscriber on cmd_vel topic, but it is empty.

void VehiclePlugin::OnVelMsg(ConstPosePtr &/*_msg*/)
{
}

There are plans to further develop the plugin?

PS. I could develop the plugin by myself. But I would like know if somebody are doing this work too.

Best Regards, Alex

2013-02-02 11:41:04 -0500 answered a question After updating Gazebo to 1.3 under Groovy I get an Ogre Plugin error

Hi, Andrei

I had the same error too. I have found that OGRERESOURCEPATH was not correct. There was a row

export OGRE_RESOURCE_PATH=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/OGRE-1.7.4

in file /opt/ros/groovy/stacks/simulatorgazebo/gazebo/scripts/setup.sh However, folder [x8664-linux-gnu] is empty on my computer. I have found OGRE-1.7.4 in folder [/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu], so I replace the row on following row:

export OGRE_RESOURCE_PATH=/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/OGRE-1.7.4

Now I have not this error.

Best Regards, Alex
