Hi Ijk, you can find the Fanuc moveit package from here: https://github.com/ros-industrial, look for fanuc_experimental for moveit package and fanuc for standard package

Problem still exist when trying to install ros_control hydro from source, though the above answer still solves the problem

I've posted it on the ROS answers website, hoping it might be an action / Server type issue, I'll see what if anything comes up before going to the MoveIT! group

Thanks, I think I had them at the time but didn't catkinmake, or possibly forgot to add source ~/catkinws/devel/setup.bash to bash.src

Hi

I've been working my way through the MoveIt! tutorials and have been having some problems with the Gazebo integration.

I'm simply trying to plan and execute a command in MoveIt! and have it displayed on the Gazebo simulator, in this case using the Fanuc m10ia model.

I have had to use the MoveItSimpleControllerManager instead of the Pr2controller, (also if any one else is using this I believe there is an error with the spelling, as it is listed as Simple_MoveIt_Controller_Manager and not MoveIt_Simple_Controller_Manager).

Anyway, upon running roslaunch fanuc_m10ia_moveit_config moveit_planning_execution.launch I get any error saying:

[ INFO] [1375734277.680123500, 1255.832000000]: MoveitSimpleControllerManager: Waiting for moveit_simple_controller/follow_joint_trajectory to come up
[ERROR] [1375734283.338320976, 1260.832000000]: MoveitSimpleControllerManager: Action client not connected: moveit_simple_controller/follow_joint_trajectory

Is there some step I have missed, or some node / service I should have started that I am unaware of?

Any help is appreciated.

I managed to somehow solve this, thought whether it was because I simple redid catkin_make or rosmake I can't remember :S.

Having given it a go myself, it is possible. I installed ROS Hydro, Gazebo 1.9 and gazebo_pkgs, using 'quantal' source, though I think raring might work as well. I believe the most recent 1.9 build is essentially separate from ROS and so no longer supports groovy. I've been able to use MoveIt! to view and plan for a Fanuc robotic arm (not my work), but currently struggling a bit with connecting gazebo with Moveit!, though I believe this is due to the tutorials not being updated on MoveIt website

Hi,

I have been trying to go through the rrbot_gazebo example, having made it as far as the section on control.

However I seem to be stuck at one point. Running the command 'roslaunch rrbot_control rrbot_control.launch '

It is here that the spawner from catkin_ws/src/ros_control/controller_manager/scripts/spawner, fails giving an error

 File "/home/user/catkin_ws/src/ros_control/controller_manager/scripts/spawner", line 43, in <module> from controller_manager_msgs.srv import *
ImportError: No module named controller_manager_msgs.srv

I'm not sure why as the folder controller_manager/srv exists and contains numerous .srv files.

I have run catkin_make beforehand and everything runs / builds smoothly.

I'm on Ubuntu Raring, have installed ROS Hydro Quantal however, and Gazebo Quantal. But then again i see the same problem on another computer which has raring for everything.

Any possible Ideas? I understand that the RRBot example is in flux due to Hydro, so is incomplete, but any help is appreciated.

This worked for me as well
