Hi,

Is there a way to "lock" an element in a position, so you can't move it even if the translation/rotatio option is selected? The heigthmap and ground_plane elements have this behaviour (you can move them once you add them to the simulation), but, is there any property that you can define in the sdf file to make this possible?

Hi! I'm working in a simulation that includes a laser sensor (the Hokuyo model) and a heigthmap. I have found a problem , and in some places of my heigthmaps, it seems that the laser is going through the model. In this picture you can see the effect:

Has anyone have a similar problem?Any idea how this can be solve? I use Gazebo 7 in Ubuntu 16.04.

Im working on a proyect, and Im using heigthmaps models. When I add them to the simulatoin, Gazebo slow down a lot and even freezes. I have also realized that , the higher I set the max heigth in the sdf file , the slower the simulation is. Does anyone know why this happends?Is there any way to solve it? Im using gazebo 7 in Ubuntu 16.04.

Hello;

I'm trying to create a plugin , that , given a x,y coordinates, set the position of a model in the ground level of a heigthmap. I generate it through a greyscale image (following this tutorial: https://github.com/AS4SR/general_info...). Does anybody know how gazebo generate the 3D surface from this grayscale image.

I use Gazebo 7 in ubuntu 16.04.
